We donate 50% of profits to ensure everyone has access to clean water and proper sanitation in our lifetime. Thanks to our amazing community (that’s you!), we’ve been raised over AUD $13,378,250 to help the billions of people in need.
A toilet could make all the difference, but billions of people worldwide still live without one. Without a loo, waste ends up in local waterways – the same place people collect water for drinking, cleaning and bathing. That’s why toilets are an integral part of a bigger health initiative called WASH, which stands for water, sanitation and hygiene. Together, these three elements strengthen communities and save millions of lives.
We’re really into toilets, but we’re certainly not experts. Those are our impact partners! We’ve chosen our particular partners because we knew our dollars would have the greatest reach in their hands. Working with a group of high-impact organisations in the world’s most underserved regions means we’re on the fast track to making sure everyone has access to clean water and proper sanitation.
We hope so! Well, sort of. We want other entrepreneurs to see it’s possible to have a profitable business that gives back. We weren’t always making multimillion dollar donations – our first ever donation was to WaterAid for $2,500 Australian dollars. But because we established our donation model in the very beginning, we’re able to scale our business while prioritising impact, all with the help of our customers who believe in our mission. That’s not to say we haven’t made mistakes! In fact, we’d love to tell you about them.
